This is particularly interesting to me. It's one of the water inlets from the Comal river.
There's its neighbor. The sign talks about sudden inrushes of water. No such inrush has happened in many many years.

Interesting holes. It looks like that support was modified to allow a pipe to pass straight through it and into the wall.

I thanked Mr. Peel and Justin greatly for this opportunity and made my way to the car. My clothes were soaked through as was my hair from having worn a hard hat the entire time. Looking at this photo, the only area that I didn't get to see was the little room to the right of the sign.
I wonder what's in there.
I count seven floors. I think the ground at the right is lower than the ground seen here.

Ah-ha, yes, the there's another ground level floor on this side. There's one of the water inlets. When we were in the basement, we were below the bottom of the river.
